Next Century Sailing is a 501(c)(3) based in Houston, Texas
In July of 2024, we started Next Century Sailing (NCS) to support water activities such as sailing, powerboat operations, paddle craft skills, water and weather safety, and to help our youth develop the necessary skills to maintain boats by teaching them how to safely handle fiberglass, painting, engine maintenance and even welding.
NCS can thrive and grow through generous donations, partnerships, and support from the local community.
Our current restoration projects wish list includes:
- Marine-grade paint (particularly black and white)
- Coosa board for structural repairs of fiberglass boats
- Forestay and shroud for a 18' Chrysler Mutineer sailboat
Our current operations wish list includes:
- Powerboat that can hold 7-9 people
- Financial support for slip fees, and maintenance needs
- 30' sailboat with a diesel or electric engine
