Next Century Sailing is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and public charity dedicated to making our waterways safer through comprehensive aquatics-based safety training.
Based in the Houston area, we are passionate about promoting and supporting scouting programs, with a special focus on Sea Scouts. Our mission is to provide young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to safely enjoy aquatic activities while developing leadership qualities that will serve them throughout their lives.
Through our programs, we combine traditional maritime skills with modern safety practices, ensuring that the next generation of water enthusiasts is prepared, responsible, and safety-conscious.

To inspire youth through high-adventure water activities, leadership training, safety education, and community service. We aim to foster confidence, responsibility, and a sense of belonging among young people, preparing them to support their communities and respect the environment.
Our Programs
Aquatics Safety Training
Comprehensive water safety courses covering essential skills for safe boating, swimming, and maritime activities. Our certified instructors provide hands-on training in a supportive environment.
Sea Scout Support
We actively support Sea Scout programs in the Houston area, providing resources, training opportunities, and mentorship to help young sailors develop their skills and confidence on the water.
Community Outreach
Educational programs and workshops for schools, community groups, and organizations focused on water safety awareness and drowning prevention.
Youth Leadership
Developing the next generation of maritime leaders through scouting programs that emphasize teamwork, responsibility, and nautical skills.
